I don't know if this needs to go in a 2010 trade thread, but I didn't see one so I will put it here.
Texas is trading:
Scott Rolen Derek Lowe Brian Wilson Hunter Pence Bud Norris - MILB
to Tampa Bay for:
CC Sabathia Andrew McCutchen Frank Francisco Cameron Maybin - MILB

I agree to this trade and would like it to be processed or put to vote, however it is done here. Thank you.

I am leaning towards approving this trade, but it has been suggested that it is too lopsided towards Texas. I will leave this pending until midnight Sunday night for other input.

I wouldn't make this trade if I were Tampa, but it is certainly not unfair.

The trade is very lopsided in Texas' favor; the purpose of allowing us to veto however is to prevent collusion which this does not appear to be. I vote for allowing it.

I am good with it. I would hope we only veto things on a very rare basis, and this one isn't that bad.

Eh, when I first saw it it was kind of like a punch to the face. Then it looked it over again and it was only like a slap to the face. Much better. I don't know if I've mentioned this before or not, but I am against vetoes about as much as anyone can be without simply dismissing them completely. I absolutely detest the veto and would only want to use it in the rarest of rare occasions. I like people being allowed to create their own teams and, if necessary, make their own mistakes. No one needs to be protected by the rest of the league. While I openly question what exactly Tampa Bay is trying to accomplish with this trade, I will vote for it to be allowed. The only thing I really see is the upgrade at closer. The swap of prospects is fine and can be called a draw, as can McCutchen for Pence, but that leaves the huge question mark of Rolen and Lowe for Sabathia. I won't beat around the bush. That's downright awful. But apparently he feels it's in the best interests of his team, and although I may disagree, I'm not going to prevent him from doing it. Best of luck to both teams. Tampa Bay, you have absolutely no obligation to do this whatsoever, but if you feel like explaining your reasoning behind the trade I'm sure a few people would be interested in hearing it. Only if you feel like it, though.

I actually don't see it as that bad at all. Tampa gave up a stud to upgrade his depth at a couple of positions. Sometimes that's the right thing to do (but definitely not often). Not even close to a veto in my book, though. Rolen and Lowe may be on the old side but they put up some solid numbers when they are healthy.
But then what do I know. I gave up Miquel Cabrera and Verlander for Delmon Young and Liriano last year. That one still smarts.

I think I will enjoy this league. You all seem to know your baseball and have a sense of humor. I am a trading machine and I agree with the Arizona GM. I will not veto a trade unless it was something like A-Rod, Pujols, and Braun for Kaz Matsui and Hideki Matsui (just because the owner was their cousin or something), lol.
and just for the record, this trade was proposed to me as a counter to my original offer of McCutchen, Sabathia, and Francisco for Victorino, Lowe, Lidge, and Pence. So he did ask for more than I originally offered, but that's fine, I liked the trade (remember, big fan of McCutchen and Sabathia!!!)

Merry Christmas everyone!!
Well honestly, I thought Maybin was the sticking point of concern about this trade. I was afraid some might have him rated real high still and think it a problem with the trade. I'm not that high on him at this point anymore.
In regards to CC for Lowe and Rolen...here's my thoughts on that. Yes CC is a horse, but I don't believe the drop-off to Lowe is that devastating, and when you figure Rolen into it, seems pretty even to me. I need a quality 3B and I think Rolen in that young Cincy lineup will continue to put up quality numbers for a few seasons.

Since over half of the league (not counting the participants) have weighed in on this.
This trade is approved.
Please process the needed ESPN league trade and don't forget to update your MLB and MiLB rosters on this site.

Tampa, that's just how I felt last year when I traded CC and junk for Haren/Bay; a small drop-off at SP and a big gain at an offensive position.
Texas, I'm glad you seem to enjoy the league so far. Since you're a trade machine I'm gonna have to take some time to look at your roster. Now that the Pirates are replaced I'll need someone new to rip-off haha.

Guys, while looking at some players today I noticed that Maybin has 257 career AB, so he isn't MiLB eligible
