Does everyone have a face book account?
Do we want to use something like this on the league or are there better solutions?

I'm sure there are easier solutions. Personally I think the e-mail and PM system work fine. If you want something different I've seen those chat boxes around in other leagues although I don't know anything about them myself. I looked into it on Proboards under the 'admin' tab and there is something called 'Live Chat' that apparently can be turned on or off. It sounds a lot like a chat box, but unfortunately I do not seem to have the administrative power to change the Live Chat settings. I tried and I was told I was not allowed to modify it. Possibly only the creator can which would be Davey.
Sounds like e-mails and PMs are still the easiest way to go.

I have facebook, but also in my league on ESPN I've put in a c-box. And if you don't know what c-box is I'll explain. It basically is a place where everyone can type in and chat about things on the front page of our league. The only draw-back is that it takes the place of the League messages, so there can be no more awesome story posts. If anyone was interested we could try it and then delete it later if nobody likes it.

Honestly I think how we've always done things in this league works fine. If you want to try something like a chat box feel free to use it, but it's doubtful I would ever be on it and I'm not going to be the one to put it up. I like my discussions to be confidential anyway. I once tried discussing things in public before and it ended poorly with other people butting in. I was talking with my partner and it seemed we were closing in on a deal, and then someone comes out of nowhere and tells him he has a message. My partner returns a few minutes later with a completely different attitude and opinion, demands more in return, and negotiations fell apart. After that I vowed to never do any serious discussions publicly again.
My e-mail is always available at tomvp46@yahoo.com. I find that to be the best way.

I am in two other leagues. Both have a chat box on the home page. One gets used a lot. The other not at all.
The nice thing about the Chat Box is people can throw out comments and ideas quickly. I personally don't negotiate trades on it. However, many of us make comments on it throughout the year that actually get quite interesting and spur a couple of teams to start talking trade.
So what I'm saying is it works extremely well in one of my leagues and is not used at all in the other.
