Hold up, hold up, hold up, what the hell? Where did my 6th, 7th, and 8th round picks go? No, I'm not having any of this. I'm officially undoing the Mets 7th and 8th round picks and giving me a chance to actually make my picks. What especially peeves me is that I was going to take Matt Moore with my 6th round pick, but somehow it mysteriously was skipped and it was decided out of nowhere that I suddenly had no picks left? Why was that decided? I still have three open minor league roster spots, so why was that decided? I'm not too upset, but I am a little bit flustered because I can see this causing a bit of a problem with Mets. After I draft Matt Moore it's going to look like I stole his player when in fact that is not the case. I had every intention of drafting Matt Moore in the first place. I'm going to go do that now and if anyone has any complaints go ahead and voice them, but I'm in the right here.

Wow...Tom that was my bad completely. I miss counted on your picks...very sorry about that. You have every right to pick whoever you want. I told Matt that he had the last 3 picks in the draft to close it out, so we will reset it back to your 6th rd pick. I will send Matt an email explaining what happened.

It's cool, I just hope Matt doesn't get upset about it.

I am pissed, I spent a long time deciding what picks to take. I am not giving them up.

Matt Moore is mine as far as I'm concerned. Since I had the picks in a row I just put them in whatever over. Had I know there would be someone picking between my picks I would have done Moore first since I coveted him more. Re-make your pick Tom and consider Moore my 6.09.

Fine, then...you guys do whatever...I have worked my a-s-s off on these drafts to make this league viable. I made a mistake..guess what I'm human.
So you guys figure out what to do, I can't see that 1 rd 7 pick can be that important, but whatever.

Well now that it matters I'm making Moore my 6.09 and Tom can redo this 6.12.

I'm really not all that upset about it. In fact, the biggest worry I had was that Matt would react like this. The Mets can have Matt Moore, it's not really that big of a deal to me. I'll draft someone else. I'm a little skeptical that you just put them in "whatever order" but I have no way to disprove that I honestly don't care enough to make a bigger spectacle of this than has already been made. I have other people I can draft as well. Plenty of fish in the sea.

Your 7th round pick is now up Matt, I remade my pick. Hopefully we can finish this draft quickly since it's just you and me left.

Tom thanks for being an understanding person. I spent so long on that pick and felt I found a steal only to see it gone. You're a good guy.

Interestingly enough, we had a situation regarding Jordan Zimmermann last year as well. Two owners laid claim to him and we had a bit of a fight over who actually owned him. After that whole incident, what does Zimmermann go and do? He gets injured, has Tommy John surgery, and will now probably not pitch again until 2011. Good grief.

Yup that was me in the Jordan Zmmermann situation as well, thus the anger.
