Seeing as how this thing has kind of grinded to a stop. I thought I would calculate out who is actually on the clock so we can keep moving. If I am wrong on my calculations, let me apologize in advance. However, lets try to keep this moving.
At 6:25 AM on Friday morning the 29th, the Cubs were on the clock and announced to skip them. That put the Angels on the clock.
At 2:25 PM on the 29th the Mets then went on the clock (the Angels then did pick while the Mets were on the clock, which is fine, but does not extend the Mets window to pick).
At 6:25 Am on the Saturday the 1st, the Rays went on the clock (the Cubs did pick during the Rays window, but that does not extend the Rays window).
At 2:25 PM on Saturday the 1st, the Pirates went on the clock.
As of 6:25 AM this morning, the 2nd, the Yankees are on the clock.
At 2:25 PM today the 2nd, the Cardinals 9th round selection will be on the clock (unless of course the Yankees pick before 2:25 at which point the Cardinals window starts immediately after the Yankees pick).
The Orioles pick in Round 8 was Borowski that is not yet included on the Big Board, and the Cubs pick in Round 9 of Bannister was not yet included on the Big Board. Cardinals, you still have a re-pick to make in the seventh round that you can make at any time. You may not like the fact that you can't pick players that are under the 250/80 limit in the major league draft but the LM's made it clear a couple of weeks ago that would not be allowed with the Bourn pick.
That should clarify a few things. Have a nice day.
